English Cafe -Wa-
Welcome to English Cafe Wa's website .
The English Cafe Wa is a place where those who want to learn English can begin learning the language, as well as a place for those who have already started to continue practicing and learning.
The Japanese and foreign staff will do everything to make you feel welcome and to help you in learning English.
For Japanese, 1 hour of free conversation with one of our English speakers is 1,000 yen and comes with a FREE DRINK!!
For English speaking foreigners, it is 500 yen which includes DRINK, and there is NO TIME LIMIT!! Feel free to stay as long as you like.
English Cafe Wa is open from 2 pm to 8 pm on Thursdays & Fridays, and from 2pm to 7pm on Saturdays.
From 2pm to 4pm is time for beginners. The discusions will be led by Japanese staff and is meant for those involved to get a better understanding of how to use English in a conversation.
From 4 pm to 8 pm(7pm on Saturday) the discussion will be led by our foreign staff and is meant for more advanced English speakers.
Of course, members of all skill levels are welcome at any time.
Private or group lessons are also available from our Japanese and foreign instructors.

How to Get to English Cafe Wa
From JR Takatsuki station 6minutes
From the main gate of the JR Takatsuski station go left and follow the pedestrian bridge to AL Plaza.
Take escalator to ground level, go outside and turn left.
Walk to end of Akutagawa shopping arcade.
Turn right at the post office and immediately turn left.
Café “Wa” is on the left.
From Hankyu Takatsukishi station 12 minutes
Exit Hankyu station and cross the street, passing the fountain.
Turn left at the shop called "Morimoto" near the fountain.
Walk down this street for awhile. You will pass: "100yen shop Flet's", a 711 and a post office all on the right.
Once you arrive to the next main street, cross it and go right a little bit and take the first available left.
You will pass a Bon Groovy (hair salon), a bakery, and an onsen (marked by a ゆ) all on your left, as well as a small shrine and apartment buildings.
Once you reach the end of that road, turn left and enter the tunnel for the Takatsuki JR station.
When you come out of the tunnel, you will see AL PLAZA ACT AMORE across the street.
Cross that street, take a left, and then turn right at the first available turn (right away, after the parking lot).
Follow this long, winding street. You will pass Cafe ホットHOT on your right.
Once you reach the crossroad at the end of this street, you will see "Cafe Lucy" in a brick building.
Take a left around Cafe Lucy, and Cafe Wa is the next building on your left.
